Solo Exhibition in the Stairwell Gallery

at Main Street Arts

April 20th - May 29th

The Main Street Arts Gallery in Clifton Springs has invited me to do a solo exhibition in their Stairwell Gallery! I will have a curated selection of new monotypes, oils and mixed media pieces on display!

COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECT

at The Dove Block Project

June 12th - 16th 1-4pm

I will be leading a community wide mural project created by several miniature prints. The underlying metaphor is the power of repeated small actions that come together to form a bigger picture.

Participants create miniature black and white prints that come together to form a mural. From far away the mural appears as one large black and white landscape, but closer inspection reveals several miniature images of all kinds: abstract, words, landscapes, simple shapes, flowers, etc.

This workshop is sponsored by a generous gift of the Spencer Tullis Giving Fund.

No Pre-Registration will be required!

Upcoming Workshops

Monday, May 13th 6-8pm

Get an introduction to plein air painting by starting small! Each student will be given an altoid tin, complete with all the materials needed to paint miniature oils. Learn how to observe the (quickly!) changing light and how to mix an array of colors from just blue, yellow, red and white! We will meet at The Cheshire Union for instruction, then head outside to paint.

Cost of the class is $35 and includes all supplies. Students will be able to take their altoid tins home with them to continue plein air painting!

In case of poor weather, we will either reschedule or paint from inside looking out the large schoolhouse windows. (You will be given the option of a refund or credit in the event you cannot make a rescheduled date.)

Monday, May 20th 6-8pm

Learn about the world of monotypes, in this beginner friendly printmaking class! Madeline will lead students through using watercolors to create their own unique prints. We will experiment with different types of paper and painting techniques. Students may wish to bring sketches or photos to use as reference or work from imagination! We will use our old school etching press to create our prints.

Cost of the workshop is $35 and includes all supplies. This workshop is best suited for teens and adults.
